Our Mastermind Alliance Story:
Past, Present, and What’s Next

Hello Masterminders! We’re Brent and Lilian Brooks, founders of The Mastermind Alliance Networking Events, a branch of Creative Smash, LLC, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank-you for all the encouragement and support you’ve shown over the past year. One of the greatest joys for us has been connecting with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members who share our passion for growth, collaboration, and community.

Fun fact: we met 14 years ago at a networking event — and networking has played a major role in everything we’ve built since. That journey is what inspired us to create The Mastermind Alliance.

What Is The Mastermind Alliance?

Inspired by the teachings of Napoleon Hill, we truly believe in the power that emerges when motivated individuals come together with purpose. Hill wrote in Think and Grow Rich:
“No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.”

The Mastermind Alliance is built on that principle. When creative, driven people unite, something greater is formed — ideas take shape, opportunities emerge, and solutions appear that simply wouldn’t happen alone.

These gatherings aren’t just networking events; they’re collaborative, energizing spaces where business owners support one another, grow together, and build meaningful relationships.

How Did the Events Begin?

We’ve always loved creating opportunities for others. We understand the impact strong networking can have on any business, and over the years, we’ve supported or led several networking gatherings that helped forge lasting connections.

After moving to Lilburn, GA, Brent began working as an insurance broker with InsurancePM: Insurance Portfolio Management. While attending local networking events under John D’Angelo’s leadership, he noticed most groups already had an “insurance person,” which made building referral partnerships challenging.

John, who had known Brent for years, reminded us of the success of Get Connected, a networking event we helped create and lead for Atlanta’s indie TV and film community. Get Connected ran for nine years, hosted over 60 events, and created countless relationships and opportunities. Knowing Brent’s skill in bringing people together, John encouraged us to create our own networking space — one where we could lead, collaborate, and help entrepreneurs find new avenues for visibility and connection.

With that encouragement, we launched small, invitation-only mastermind meetings with the support of Grand Master Eddie J. Berrian at Georgia Chung Do Kwan Arts — and from there, the movement grew.

The Mastermind Alliance in 2025

The success of our first public event set a strong foundation for 2025. Our mission became clear: create direct, meaningful referrals among attendees — and that mission succeeded.

Throughout the year, members formed valuable referral relationships that led to real projects, new clients, and measurable results. These outcomes proved that when the right people gather with intention, everyone benefits.

We are also grateful to have added Leslie Schulze as part of our team this year — her energy, support, and expertise have been invaluable in helping us grow and connect with our community.

Thanks to strong community support and generous sponsors, we hosted 11 successful events at local venues, including:

1910 Public House (2)
Agavero Cantina Parkside (4)
American Street Machines (1)
Georgia Properties Consultants (1)
Three Blind Mice (1)
Mountain Perk (1)
Fresca (1)

We also collaborated with local Scout Troops to support the Lilburn Co-Op and Toys for Tots, and we look forward to continuing partnerships with local nonprofits.

What’s Coming in 2026

2025 showed us how far persistence, collaboration, consistency, and community support can take a group. Now, it’s time to build on that momentum.

Here’s what’s ahead:

  • 8 to 10 networking events throughout the year
  • $10 entrance fee per event
  • Social gatherings for Masterminders and their families
Lunch & Learn sessions on marketing, accounting, branding, and more
  • The Launch of The Mastermind Alliance Podcast, featuring in-depth conversations with local business owners
  • Mastermind Alliance merchandise: mugs, notebooks, shirts, pens, stickers, and more
  • New sponsorship opportunities
  • Collaborative events: Virtual Car Show, Veteran-focused initiatives, Women Entrepreneurs events, and additional partnerships
We also want to invite other Home Services Professionals to join us. If you provide services like: Appliance repair, Carpentry, Contractors, Deck & Patio construction, Drywall repair, Electricians, Fencing, Flooring, Furniture assembly, Gutter cleaning, Handyman, HVAC, Interior decor, Landscaping, Locksmith, Money lenders, Mortgage specialists, Moving companies, Pest control, Pool services, Pressure washing, Security systems, Window installation, etc. — we’d love for you to join us at the next event. Let’s continue building relationships and referral partnerships together.

Final Thoughts
We’re so excited for the growth ahead and the new connections waiting to be made. The relationships, collaborations, and referrals created this year are just the beginning.

Thank you for being a part of this journey — we can’t wait to see you at our next Mastermind Alliance event!

With gratitude,
