Service, Style, and Purpose with Amanda of Realty ONE Group Edge

This week, we had the opportunity to sit down with Amanda for a conversation about real estate, creativity, service, and the experiences that shaped her path. What immediately stood out was Amanda’s genuine heart for people and her thoughtful approach to helping clients create spaces that feel meaningful and personal. From her military and nonprofit background to her passion for design and connection, Amanda brings a unique perspective into the world of real estate.

Lilian: Amanda, thanks for taking the time to chat with us. We are excited to learn about you and share you story with our network. Before we get into real estate, I'd love for people to get to know you a little better. What are some things that make you, you, outside of work?

Amanda: Outside of real estate, I’m someone who really values creativity, connection, and purpose. I love design, creating spaces that feel meaningful, and bringing people together. Something that might surprise people is that I have a background in the military and over 20 years in the nonprofit world, which really shaped my discipline and heart for serving others.

Lilian: That's a pretty unique background. When you're not working, what do you enjoy doing?

Amanda: I enjoy anything creative, interior design, hosting small gatherings, and working on projects that make a space feel more like home. I also love spending time with family and being involved in my local community.

Lilian: Real estate is such an interesting industry. What first got you interested in it?

Amanda: My exposure to real estate actually started in high school when I worked in a real estate office. Over time, combined with my love for design and helping people, it naturally evolved into something I wanted to pursue long-term. It felt like the perfect blend of creativity, strategy, and service.

Lilian: That combination of creativity and strategy is such an interesting balance. As your career started developing, what has the journey looked like for you so far?

Amanda: It’s been a journey of growth, personally and professionally. From learning the market to building relationships and refining how I serve clients, each step has helped me become more intentional in how I guide people through one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Lilian: Every successful realtor seems to go through moments that really shape them early on. Was there a challenge that pushed you to grow in a big way?

Amanda: Learning how to navigate uncertainty in the market and build confidence in my value early on was a big challenge. It pushed me to really understand the market, communicate clearly, and show up consistently for my clients.

Lilian: That idea of consistency keeps coming up in what you’re saying. What would you say is one of the biggest lessons real estate has taught you?

Amanda: That trust is everything. People aren’t just hiring you to help with a transaction, they’re trusting you with a major life decision. How you communicate, guide, and support them matters just as much as the outcome.

Lilian:That’s such a powerful perspective because real estate really is tied to major life moments. Now, how has this career changed you personally?

Amanda: It’s made me more disciplined, more resilient, and more connected to my community. It’s also pushed me to grow in areas like time management and relationships in ways I didn’t expect.

Lilian: I love that! There's always room for growth in anything you do. You know, we all have tough days. What keeps you going when things get stressful or challenging?

Amanda: Knowing that what I do genuinely impacts people’s lives. Helping someone find a place they can call home or move into their next chapter keeps me going, even on the tough days.

Lilian: That service mindset clearly runs deep for you. Who or what has influenced you the most along the way?

Amanda: My background in service, both in the military and nonprofit work, has been a huge influence. It reminds me that this career is about people first, not just transactions.

Lilian: That focus on people first probably made finding the right office culture really important too. What drew you to Realty ONE Group Edge?

Amanda: The culture and the energy stood out right away. It’s a place that encourages growth, individuality, and collaboration, which aligned with how I wanted to build my business.

Lilian: Culture can make such a huge difference in this industry. What stands out most to you about the environment there?

Amanda: There’s a strong sense of support without losing your independence. It’s collaborative, positive, and focused on helping each agent grow in their own way.

Lilian: That kind of supportive atmosphere is rare. What do you appreciate most about the people you work alongside every day?

Amanda: The willingness to help and share knowledge. It’s not competitive in a negative way, it’s encouraging and uplifting.

Lilian: You spend so much time helping people through emotional and financial decisions. What part of that process means the most to you personally?

Amanda: Being able to guide them through something that can feel overwhelming and turning it into a smooth, confident experience. Seeing that sense of relief and excitement at the end means everything.

Lilian: Those transformation moments are probably the things people remember forever. Is there a type of client moment that has really stayed with you?

Amanda: Moments where clients feel uncertain at the beginning but trust the process and then seeing everything come together for them. Those transformations always stick with me.

Lilian: You really seem to view this role as much bigger than sales. In your opinion, what separates a great realtor from someone simply closing deals?

Amanda: Strong communication, honesty, attention to detail, and truly caring about the client’s best interest. I have curated a team of professionals who encompass my work ethic and exceptional client support to partner with me. It’s about being a guide and advocate, not just a salesperson.

Lilian: That kind of intentional approach naturally creates long-term impact, so congratulations for giving that to your clients. When people work with you, what do you hope they remember about the experience?

Amanda: I want to be known for helping people not just find homes, but create meaningful spaces and relationships beyond the sale. A legacy built on trust, care, and purpose.

Lilian: That's wonderful. Amanda, let's shift a little and let me ask, what advice would you give someone who is thinking about getting into real estate?

Amanda: Be prepared to work hard, stay consistent, and focus on building relationships. It’s not just about sales; it’s about people, and that’s what makes it rewarding.

Lilian: Thank you. I feel like this can apply to Real Estate an any other trade that deals with clients one on one.To finalize, let us know how can the Mastermind Alliance continue supporting you moving forward?

Amanda: By continuing to provide collaboration, accountability, and a space to grow. Having a community that challenges and supports you makes all the difference. The connections and partnerships created to have a team of real estate professionals in this business is crucial.

Lilian: Thank you so much again for gifting us your time, your story, perspective, and heart for service with us. Your journey is a reminder that real estate is ultimately about relationships, trust, and helping people step confidently into the next chapter of their lives.
